When I'm near this area, I usually go to Goji Street. I ordered the Aloha Bowl, which happens to be my favorite. I'm not sure if it's the amount of Korean BBQ chicken or if it's the creamy sauce mixed with the Tempura cheese sticks but whatever it is awesome. You get a great amount of food, so the price is pretty reasonable.
With the wife out of town, I took the kids to Gogi Street for some Korean BBQ. Kids ordered simple, regular bowls while I ordered the Spicy San Antonio bowl [no jalapenos) in the large size. First off, I'll say there's enough in there for three meals for me! Loads of food! Was spicy but not hot and had great flavor! I was only able to eat maybe 1/3 of it! Took a while to get to the rice there was so much meatiness, but love the rice too! We also ordered Yaki Mandu, or potstickers. New snack! Delicectible and 6the sauce is great! I'd never had kimchi but I have a new item on my list to eat again! We went around 545ish but they weren't busy at all so fast service! Picture was taken later and gives it no justice. Overall? Service was good, ambiance was good, price was a little up for me but it was a special occasion so I had no oroblem...because we have TONS of leftovers! Even if I'm not in the area bit am craving Korean BBQ, I'll definitely be back!
I'm a pescatarian and always thought this place had only meat dishes so I couldn't try it. I've lived by it for four years! I was so wrong. My sister ordered her dinner for pick up last night and surprised me with the Veggie San Antonio--not sure how I overlooked this item before. IT WAS SO DELICIOUS! Crisp veggies and plenty of them, on a bed of rice, topped with delicious sauce and cilantro. Mildly spicy. Tasted so fresh. The perfect summer dish. I can't wait to have this dish again! Veggie San Antonio is where it's at.
This casual eatery is a great bang for your buck. I got the bibimbap which obviously wasn't authentic because it's fusion food, but it was tasty, packed with vegetables, which I wanted, and was only $13! I will say the one downside of the dish is that the vegetables are cut very coarsely. It would be better if the vegetables were thinly, sliced and shredded but overall Huge portions that lasted me two meals and just great value.
I found this place as a restaurant near me on Google search and thought to try it with my wife. Interior doesn't give off a particular vibe and feels a little generic. Service is done by approaching the counter and placing an order, and they will call your name for pickup when it is ready. The server was very knowledgeable about the dishes served there and very helpful to helping us make a choice. The moment we filled our fountain drinks, our name was called, which surprised me a bit. Our order was out within three minutes of being called. The food was heated unevenly and tasted cold in one bite, tepid in another, and hot in another, depending on what part of the plate you bit into. This was disappointing because the flavors were great, and it tasted fresh. I would definitely go back, but I hope they fix how they warm things up.
Small place with BIG flavor. First time here and dined in. Food came out relatively quickly during a busy lunch hour. Most tables were full and I was eager to finally try this spot. The Yaki Mandu were a good side to have to the bowls. Perfectly crispy and savory fillings. The dipping sauce is watery and could use some improvement, but they also have other sauces like sriracha and soy sauce available if you decide to switch it up. The spicy hawaiian bowl was delicious. HUGE portion for the regular size that lasted me 2 meals. The bowls are packed with flavor and fresh ingredients. The chicken had a great smokey flavor and the bowl was pretty spicy but I like spicy food so it was perfect for me. Next time I would add avocado to this bowl. There were so many toppings I forgot there was even rice in it until I got to it. The bowl could have used more shrimp as I think it only had 2 in it. Overall, a very delicious meal with lots of flavor and big portions, you won't be disappointed.
